This month, students in Ms. Carolyn’s, Ms. Franke’s, Ms. Mia’s and Ms. Sharon’s classrooms stepped into the world of fashion for the Clothes Study. A lively Fashion Show was included in the study, where students proudly modeled their favorite outfit with a brief explanation from our dedicate MC, Ms. Sharon, of why they chose those particular clothes. From Paw Patrol t-shirts to glitter shoes, students were proud to showcase their favorite outfits during the Fashion Show, celebrating self-expression and creativity.
Throughout the study, children engaged in sensory learning by comparing the textures of various fabrics, from smooth silk to fuzzy fleece. Families were also invited into the classrooms to take part in activities, sharing their knowledge and skills. A highlight of the event was a special crochet demonstration, showing children how yarn can be transformed into clothing and accessories.
The Clothes Study encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and community connection, making learning both fun and meaningful for our students.
