School District 123 marked a milestone on March 13, 2025, celebrating both its 123rd day of school and its 123rd anniversary of operational excellence. The district, known for its commitment to education and student success, honored the occasion with a variety of activities, highlighted by a special event at the Early Learning Center.
Preschoolers dressed up as a Super Squad of Super Friends, a creative and heartwarming display that tied into the Pyramid Model for positive behavior support. The Pyramid Model, which fosters social-emotional development and positive interactions, was brought to life as our little lions embraced how to be a Super Friend:
- Ask to Play
- Use Gentle Hands
- Take Turns
- Calm Down with Deep Breaths
“This is such a special day for our district, and seeing our youngest learners embody the spirit of positivity and inclusion makes it even more meaningful,” said Christine Fuller, ELC Director.
“The Super Squad perfectly represents the values we strive to instill in our students, and it’s inspiring to see their enthusiasm for learning and friendship,” said Erica Parus, ELC Assistant Director.
The day was filled with interactive activities, storytelling, and classroom celebrations, and all things 1-2-3, reinforcing the importance of positive behavior and community within our school.
