Heartwarming Cookies and Cocoa

Smiles, laughter, and the scent of fresh hot chocolate filled the air as families gathered for The Early Learning Center’s Cookies and Cocoa Celebration on Thursday, December 19th. Over 160 families joined students for a day filled with holiday cheer, warm cocoa, and delightful activities.

Families enjoyed a few photo ops in Ginger-land, a festive Hot Cocoa Stand photo booth and a giant inflatable cup of hot cocoa, capturing memories of a joyous day.  A family member commented, “We enjoyed the marshmallows! It was a very nice surprise! It was the first time my daughter had marshmallows or cocoa and she enjoyed both!”

Along with the tasty treats, the celebration featured many classroom activities, such as ice fishing, Bingo, ice castles, candy cane relay races, ice painting, sensory bins, and art projects galore!

Families left the event with full hearts, happy children, and warm bellies. As they headed home, the preschool’s Cookies and Cocoa Party proved to be a sweet success.

Here’s what families are saying about Cookies and Cocoa:

“The Cookies & Cocoa event was a blast! Every detail from the decorations and photo op to the halal marshmallows was beautifully and thoughtfully planned and executed. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy sweet treats & memories with my daughters! ” - Alyssa, Mom of 2

“It was such a wonderful experience to share Cookies and Cocoa with my daughter and her class to wrap up such an amazing first half of the school year. It was the first time my daughter had hot cocoa, and the ELC made it so easy for me to enjoy this moment with her. Sometimes it’s overwhelming and stressful for parents to do potentially messy activities or new experiences with our littles in our busy lives, but the ELC has helped to make these experiences easily accessible for families. Thank you for another opportunity to be involved in my daughter’s learning journey!” - Amy

“I had a great time! The cups were super cute, my daughter and I loved spending time together drinking our hot chocolate!” - Vivian

“It is important to show up for the kids. My daughter’s face lights up when she sees her grown up walk through those doors and she just feels so proud showing me everything around. Showing up has such a positive impact on children and their overall educational experience!” - Priscilla
