Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 is excited to welcome Amber Kenis to Covington Elementary as the Associate Principal for the 2025-26 school year. She will spend the day at Covington on May 22, 2025, when she will be available for a meet and greet after school and be present at the Kindergarten Open House.

Amber Kenis brings over seven years of leadership experience, having served as an assistant principal and district coordinator. Her work in diverse communities across the country has shaped her inclusive and adaptable leadership style. Amber partners closely with staff, students, and families to strengthen academic achievement and cultivate a supportive school culture, with a strong emphasis on meaningful family engagement. Recognized for her collaborative approach, problem-solving skills, and ability to build meaningful connections, she is committed to ensuring that every student feels valued and supported.
