Congratulations to Kaitlin Lara from Elaine Bernal’s 4th-grade class at Hometown School, she’s this week’s Superintendent Student of the Week.
“Kaitlin Lara has a very positive attitude toward school; she truly is a ray of sunshine. She puts forth consistent effort and when faced with a frustrating academic or social situation, she asks for help and is learning to never give up. She has made so much progress both socially and academically. She was previously in the CASE program, transitioned into PTP and now spends half of her day in General Education. With the help of her family, team of teachers and related service staff from pre-k to now, she is persevering every challenge and succeeding in school,” said Bernal.
