Don’t miss this chance to STEM-ulate your brain!
The District 123 STEM Night is Wednesday, February 26 at OLHMS starting at 6:30.
Come out to see District STEM Clubs demonstrate their experiments and learn more from local STEM organizations like Oak Lawn Children’s Museum, Little Red School House, Cook County Farm Bureau, NIU STEM Outreach, Argonne National Lab, Lakeshore Learning and Engineering for Kids.
“This event allows students to think creatively and critically to design solutions to real engineering problems, solve math problems, and investigate science phenomena with the most important people in their lives – their families. Allowing families an opportunity to actively participate in their child’s learning in an exciting and memorable way is something they are sure to enjoy and appreciate,” said Rosalind Reyes the STEM Curriculum Facilitator for District 123.
STEM Night comes out of a nationwide push to engage students in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and math in hopes of getting highly qualified individuals to pursue careers in technical and research fields.
