School District 123 Celebrates Golden Anniversary with State of the District Dinner

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 hosted a State of the District Dinner on March 13, 2025, the 123rd day of the 123rd school year. This celebration honored 123 years of excellence in education, recognized the learning community’s collective achievements, and looked ahead to the future with the new strategic direction.

As one of the few school districts in Illinois to host such an event, School District 123's State of the District Dinner offered a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and engage in the district's exciting future. Members of the district leadership shared key milestones, insights from the development of the new strategic direction, and the roadmap for continued success in the years ahead.

“Last night, we celebrated 123 years of excellence at Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 and renewed our commitment to fostering academic achievement, supportive schools, a thriving workforce, operational excellence, and strong community connections,” said Superintendent Dr. Paul Enderle. “By laying a solid academic foundation, promoting student well-being, and collaborating closely with families and community members, we equip every learner with the confidence, resilience, and adaptability needed for success. Our new strategic framework and portrait of a graduate will guide us in continuing to spark curiosity, foster growth, and help each student reach their highest potential.”
