First Week of Our 123rd Year

School is officially back in session!

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 officially started its 123rd school year this week with two staff institute days and three days of school. First through 8th graders returned on Wednesday for a half day full of activities to get to know their new teachers and classmates.

Kindergarteners joined in on the first-week fun on Friday and enjoyed exploring their classrooms, meeting teachers, and making new friends while families helped sort school supplies and learned more about the school.

The D123 Early Learning Center opened its doors to families for a series of orientation events, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated start in our brand-new attendance center. The first day of pre-school is Monday, August 26.
