Building a Foundation with Imagination

Imagination

This year students at the District 123 Summer School are using their imaginations to create and build things brick by brick. Using Legos, students are developing critical thinking, creative thinking and public speaking skills. Each day centers around a new challenge, from designing a zoo to making your own board game – completely from Legos!

“I am really excited about my game, it’s called Castle Wars. There’s going to be guards and you’ll have to steal the other castle and beat the guards to get there,” said Joey, a student in the class.

“It’s so fun to see them think through each challenge, and then see how their brains transfer their idea from paper to actually building it using the Legos,” said Mrs. Fryz-Zoltek, the teacher for the class.
