The Fable Olympics for 1st grade was an absolute blast! It was such a creative way to bring the lessons from those beloved fables to life. Each game tied in perfectly with the stories:
The Tale of Peter Rabbit — avoiding Mr. McGregor must have been thrilling!
The Boy Who Cried Wolf — the “sheep, sheep, wolf!” game is a fun twist on the story’s message about honesty.
The Maid and the Milk Pail — balancing a pail like Peggy is a great way to teach kids about responsibility.
The Fox and the Grapes — encouraging kids to keep trying instead of giving up is such a valuable lesson!
The Goose and the Golden Egg — teaching them about the dangers of greed through balance challenges is brilliant.
What a wonderful way to reinforce important values and have fun at the same time! The students loved every moment of it!
