Mrs. Roth is retiring after 23 years of service to Sward Elementary School. She has taught 2nd and 3rd Grade during her tenure at Sward. Teagan describes Mrs. Roth as a teacher that made school fun. “She made sure every student did their homework and was paying attention in class. She will never forget how good Mrs. Roth was at reading stories. Mrs. Roth is awesome, kind, wonderful, outstanding and magnificent. I will never forget the GREAT memories of 3rd grade.”
As part of the ABC Summer is Cool Countdown, Tuesday, May 31st was the letter W: Wild About Mrs. Roth Day . Students and staff were encouraged to dress in animal print to celebrate some of her favorite fashion designs.
Ryan, a 5th Grader, recalls how she loved the dream catchers hung up in Mrs. Roth’s classroom. “The dream catchers were my favorite part of the classroom. They really do catch your dreams. I was extremely upset not to be able to spend the entire 3rd grade with you due to the pandemic. Happy Retirement and thank you for teaching me."
Mrs. Roth has impacted the lives of so many students at Sward for the past 23 years. A few of the wonderful experiences include, sponsoring the Manners Matter Club, the Sward School Store, her Jolly Green Giant statue, and the beautiful dream catchers displayed throughout her classroom. “Practice Make Better” and “Sward Eagles Lead By Example” are just a few phrases Mrs. Roth instilled in her students.
Mrs. Roth, thank you for your years of service to Sward Elementary School, we hope all your dreams come true, and most importantly enjoy your retirement.
