At the August 9, 2021 special meeting the School District 123 Board of Education approved Ms. Adriana Sebek as its newest Board Member. Member Sebek has been an Oak Lawn resident since 2014, and feels privileged by the opportunity to serve on the Oak Lawn School District 123 Board of Education.

In addition to her new role as a member of the School District 123 Board of Education, Adriana Sebek is also a Customer Experience Manager for a Fortune 500 insurance company. She leads various teams in customer satisfaction, quality, and training. She has a proven ability to analyze complex information within her industry and bridge the gaps between customer stakeholders, technology teams, and business needs to meet all stakeholders’ expectations. She works in a multicultural environment where she has the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from around the world, allowing her to continuously expand her expertise and skills. Adhering to Board Policy 2:70, immediately following the vacancy left by outgoing Board of Education Member Ms. Theresa Roche, the Board publicized the vacancy and began accepting applications from any District residents who were interested in serving on the Board. After reviewing applications, the Board conducted two rounds of interviews with eight candidates that submitted applications for the position. The interviews took place during closed session Board of Education meetings on July 12, July 26, and August 4. Member Sebek will serve the Oak Lawn-Hometown learning community until Ms. Roche's original term expires in April 2023. Adriana resides in the Hannum School attendance area with her husband Nicholas and three sons, who are currently or have previously attended D123 schools.
