This year Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 will implement a new strategic plan that was adopted in the Spring and will continue to prepare today’s learner for tomorrow’s world. Developing the new strategic plan started in 2018, with the goal to incorporate the entire Oak Lawn-Hometown community in the process. Hundreds of community members, parents, alumni, staff, and administrators were involved in the process through focus groups, surveys and the State of the District Dinner. The community-generated plan was approved by the Board of Education in March 2019 and sets direction for District 123 over the next 5 years. The new strategic plan can be accessed at plan.d123.org
