This year Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 schools opened their doors a day early to give students a chance to drop off supplies, meet their new teachers, and ease into the back to school transition. At OLHMS, the event wasn’t just a way to ease locker jitters and learn a schedule, it was an opportunity for the community to welcome new Principal, Sean McNichols, and Assistant Principal, Don Hantson as they start their first year at the school.
“It was a great day for Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School! We had a great turnout and wonderful conversations with parents and student about their excitement for a fantastic school year,” said McNichols.
