During Red Ribbon Week Sward students celebrated Unity Day with a fun assembly. Decked out in their orange students filled the gym for a special assembly from Rena Rosen about being kind to one another.
“Even though Unity Day is technically one day each year, the message is loud and clear that we should speak kind words and use kind actions not just one day but every day. I love that on Unity Day we all come together to celebrate kindness. The effects last much longer than one day,” said Principal Candy Kramer.
But that wasn’t all, following the assembly Sward Parent and musician, Gincy Hartin performed a special song that he wrote for Unity Day.
