Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 has developed an eLearning Summer Programming opportunity to help students as they “step up” to the next grade level.
The Step Up Summer Program is available to incoming kindergarten to incoming 8th-grade students. This summer brings District 123 an amazing opportunity to offer a balance of academic support & enrichment with extracurricular options. It’s our goal to keep our students’ minds stimulated, actively engaged in learning, and connected to their school district.
“Our biggest news of the Summer is Summer Step Up! Students are able to enroll in their next grade level, to work on academics & enrichment. There is no cost to families & the classes are taught by our engaging D123 teachers. Sign up is easy on the website and it is totally customizable to your student! We hope you join us this summer,” said Summer School Principal, Sarah McIntyre.
On Mondays & Wednesdays, the program will focus on Reading & Math. There will also be an opportunity for Office Hours for students & parents. On Tuesdays & Thursdays, we will focus on Club/Extracurricular Options. This program is developed as a ‘step up’ to the next grade, if you will be a 3rd grader in the fall, join us for Step Up to 3rd Grade!
Summer Step Up is customizable to your student, your student can attend one or all of the classes offered. Families will sign up a week in advance & there is no cost to families.
