During the February 22nd, Board of Education meeting, the 2021-2022 D123 academic school calendar was approved. Some highlights from the calendar include:
- The school year will start with two days of staff institutes; August 16th and 17th.
- The first day of student attendance will be Wednesday, August 18th and will be a half day from 8:30-11:30 am.
- Fall Family Conferences will take place on October 14th & 15th.
- No School on November 2nd for Election Day and a Staff Institute Day.
- Students will be out of school November 22-26 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
- Winter break begins Thursday, December 23rd at 3:20 pm and students will return January 6th, 2022 at 8:30 am.
- Spring Family Conferences will take place on February 24th & 25th.
- Spring break will start on; March 21st and students will return on March 28th at 8:30 am.
- The last scheduled student attendance day is June 3rd, 2022 from 8:30am to 11:30 am.
- However, given the unpredictable nature of Illinois weather, there are five emergency days scheduled for June 5-9, 2021.
