In District 123, all schools follow the idea that we should be respectful, be responsible, be safe. District-wide spirit weeks, sponsored by the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) team, focus on the prosocial and emotional aspects of being a positive member of the District 123 community. In Trimester one, the PBIS District Team focused on a Unity Day. For Trimester two, they held a Kindness Week.
The purpose of Respect Week is a reminder to students that respect can be shown in all aspects of life including: earth, community, home, and school. RESPECT week is a chance to refuel and remind our students how to be respectful both inside and outside of school. -Shannon Mural, PBIS Team Leader
