CASE students in Mrs. Messina's class marked Earth Day with a week full of fun and meaningful learning. They explored the importance of recycling, reducing pollution, and protecting trees to help keep our planet clean and healthy for future generations.
In addition to their environmental studies, students took part in a hands-on cooking lesson—baking cupcakes from scratch! This sweet activity was packed with valuable life skills. As they measured ingredients, followed steps, and timed their baking, students strengthened math and science skills while also gaining independence and awareness of nutrition. They even got creative with decorating and suggesting their own recipe ideas—turning the kitchen into both a classroom and a canvas.
From caring for the Earth to building everyday skills, CASE students had a blast learning how to make a difference—one lesson (and one cupcake) at a time!
