Last week on February 18th and 19th, Mrs. Vanessa Follmar visited our 8th grade classrooms to lead the second session of Xello!, a personalized education program that helps students explore colleges and careers.
During this session, students engaged in discussions about various professions, their learning styles, and their personalities. They participated in Xello!’s "matchmaking" feature, answering questions to identify their learning style, visual, auditory, or tactile, and their personality type, categorized as builders, thinkers, creators, helpers, persuaders, or organizers. Additionally, they explored their "Career Cluster," which provided deeper insight into potential career paths.
Mrs. Follmar guided students through the process, and encouraged them to reflect on their strengths and interests. This session helped students make connections between their personal traits and future career possibilities, and they can’t wait for the third and final session!
