Last week, OLHMS celebrated Kindness Week, promoting empathy, respect, and inclusivity! Students participated in an activity where students created a "Throw Kindness like Confetti" display with post-it notes sharing positive messages.
Throughout District 123 and at OLHMS, we hosted a Spirit Week, which added excitement throughout the halls. Spirit Week included:
Monday – Sparkle Day: Wear your best fancy outfit.
Tuesday – Hats Off to Kindness: Wear your favorite hat.
Wednesday – Color Our World: Wear an orange PBIS shirt or your favorite color.
Thursday – School Spirit Day: Show school pride.
Friday – Kindness Makes Your Heart Grow: Wear red, pink, or hearts.
At the end of the week, Evelyn said, "I love Kindness Week because we have themed days, and we spread love to each other." The goal of Kindness Week is to inspire kindness not just for a week, but every day throughout the year and beyond!
