On Friday, February 7th, Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School (OLHMS) hosted an exciting charity volleyball tournament to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event brought together OLHMS students, staff, the Oak Lawn Police Department, and the Oak Lawn Fire Department for a night of friendly competition—all in the spirit of giving.
With over 300 enthusiastic attendees, the tournament was an enormous success, raising more than $4,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in just one night. The funds will help sponsor a child in Oak Lawn, granting them a life-changing wish and bringing joy to their family.
Players and spectators enjoyed the game, showcasing teamwork and community spirit. Aine shared, "It was really fun to be part of the Make-A-Wish game, and it was even more meaningful knowing we were playing for such a great cause."
The event highlighted OLHMS’s dedication to making a difference and supporting children in need, one game at a time.
