1,500lbs of Candy Raised for Jacky's Troups!

Every week for the past several years, Jacky Connelly, the visionary founder of Jacky’s Soldiers, has diligently organized and shipped care packages to U.S. troops stationed overseas for extended periods. This act of kindness has offered comfort and support to those selflessly serving our nation.

At OLHMS, our entire school, local community, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Simmons Middle School, and former OLHMS teacher Mrs. Ryan, along with her Willow Springs community, united in a collaborative effort to contribute to this noble cause. From November 1st to November 13th, OLHMS students and staff launched a candy drive, generously collecting and donating a remarkable assortment of sweets for Jacky’s Soldiers to distribute to our troops. By the end of the initiative, OLHMS students contributed over 1,500 pounds of candy, an incredible demonstration of compassion and teamwork.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our school, community members, and all who donated in support of our brave service members. A special and heartfelt thank you goes to the courageous men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, who make the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms. OLHMS remains eternally grateful for your dedication
