Congratulations to the OLHMS Track teams who competed on Saturday, May 11, at the SWIC Conference Meet. 6th/7th Grade Boys came in 10th place and earned points in the 200m dash, 400m dash, 1600m run, 400m relay, 1600m relay, and Long Jump. 6th/7th Grade Girls placed 4th. Points were earned in 110m hurdles, 400m dash, 400m relay, 800m relay, and 1600m relay. The swift legs of Christina led her to a 1st place finish in the 1600m run. 8th Grade Girls placed 8th, with Layla taking 1st in the 400m dash. 8th Grade Boys came in 4th place. Jefferson, Malcolm, Ian, and Kamari finished 1st place in the 800m relay, and other points were earned in 110m hurdles, 100m dash, 200m dash, 400m relay, and 1600m relay. Every athlete's perseverance, hard work, and determination paid off this season. Way to go, Mustangs!
