The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a prestigious organization that was founded in 1929 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). There are five pillars that have helped guide the organization from the beginning, which include: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
This Thursday, May 16th, OLHMS will host the annual NJHS Induction Ceremony. The ceremony will start with the Pledge of Allegiance, a welcome message by NJHS President Ella Green, Dr. Sean McNichols, OLHMS Principal, and Dr. Paul Enderle, D123 Superintendent. After several heartfelt messages, our scholars will represent and speak about each of the five pillars. After recognizing our 69 new NJHS members, they will be sworn in by Dr. McNichols as they recite the Group Pledge.
We are extremely proud of our current and new NJHS members for their dedication, leadership, and example in and out of the classroom. Thank you to our NJHS Advisors, Mrs. Owens, Mr. Mamolella, and Ms. Danos, for all of their hard work throughout the year.
