On Thursday, April 25th and Monday, April 29th, our 8th grade OLHMS students participated in the 2nd annual College Tour! Our College Tour was set up by Dr. McNichols, who got in contact with Moraine Valley Community College.
When students stepped on Moraine Valley’s campus, they were welcomed by staff and students. At Moraine Valley, students entered the “Student Success Center,” where they learned a plethora of information about community college, courses, how to earn various scholarships, and more! From there, students broke off into different groups and were led by a professor and/or student from Moraine to tour the campus. When Danny reflected on his day at Moraine, he said that ”I liked how all the buildings were separated into departments, and how many different programs Moraine has to offer!” Thank you to Moraine Valley for hosting our 8th grade students!
