The OLHMS Lady Mustangs made their way to Old Quarry Middle School for the Cheerleading Matchup Competition on Saturday, January 13th. The gym was buzzing with cheers, colorful uniforms, and shiny rhinestones! Wearing black and red, Lady Mustangs showed off their skills in an incredible routine created by Coach DiSalvo and Coach Owens which included an intricate tumbling routine, fast-paced stunts, and eye-catching dance sequence.
The competition is not just about being good at cheerleading but also about teamwork and having fun. The audience, filled with friends and family, cheered for their favorite cheerleaders creating an exciting atmosphere. While the girls waited for the score, all teams came together and joined in a circle to show off some of their best skills. The Cheerleading Matchup Competition allowed athletes from different schools to come together, enjoy the thrill of the competition, and make lasting memories with their teammates.
