With a few weeks left in our girls basketball season, our Mustangs are learning and improving every game. Our 6/7th and 8th grade Lady Mustangs started their seasons off dominating the competition with seven wins and zero loses. After the Lady Mustang played against Palos yesterday, Coach Carmody and her 6/7 grade team have a current record of 8-0, and Coach Danos and her 8th grade team are currently 7-1. From the start of their season, our Lady Mustangs have shown grit, perseverance, and teamwork on a daily basis. In yesterday’s game, Christina, Teagan, and Maddie led all scorers with a combined total of 25 points, and Evelyn dominated the boards collecting countless rebounds. The 6/7th grade Lady Mustangs beat Palos 36-6, which currently places them first in the conference. For our 8th grade Mustangs, Sofia and Nadine stole the show with over 20 points combined. Nadine, Jamila, and Lucy crashed the boards, and Layna had impeccable defense. Our 8th grade Lady Mustangs lost to Palos, which currently places them second in the SWIC conference.
