Last Wednesday, our OLHMS Mustangs made their way to Orland Junior High to compete in their cross country meet. At their meet, they ran against Orland, Central, Prairie View, Grissom, and Liberty. Our Mustangs showed up and came ready to run.
Our boys cross country team crushed their competition. In the top 10, five of the runners were OLHMS Mustangs, with Connor, an 8th grade student, coming in 1st place! Connor ran two miles in 11 minutes and 51 seconds, out running over 100 boys from other schools. Other Mustangs who fell into the top 10 were Sam, Rene, James, and Emilio. When Rene was asked how he loves most about cross country, he said "I love our team! I run with a lot of my friends, and we have the best time together." Our Mustangs have another meet this Thursday- good luck, Mustangs!
