The start of the 2023-2024 school year is underway! Staff and students were welcomed back with an all-school assembly on Wednesday, August 23rd. You could see how refreshed everyone was from the summer break which made for an upbeat and joyous celebration in the gymnasium. Dr. McNichols, Dr. Hantson, and Mrs. Hansen welcomed staff and scholars back with fun music, introductions of staff members, and a huge round of applause for the great year we are about to embark on.
We also recognized our five staff members who will be retiring at the end of this school year – Mr. Marty Mears (PE teacher), Mrs. MaryAnn Dunican (Synergistics teacher), Mrs. Noreen Williams (Debate & Media Productions teacher), Mr. Pat Adams (Synergistics & Entrepreneurship teacher), and Mrs. Erin Mahoney (Special Education teacher). The entire school “waved” to our 2024 retirees by doing the wave around the gymnasium. Scholars were even able to wave in the shape of a horseshoe to show our Mustang pride and appreciation for these passionate educators. Click here to watch the video!
