IAR testing is complete! Students took the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) standardized Math and ELA tests during the week of April 11th. Students took three mathematics tests and two English Language Arts tests over a span of three days. Standardized tests can be draining and exhausting for our scholars, so staff wanted to make sure they had the chance to celebrate their accomplishments after a week of testing! Each grade level chose fun activities for their students to participate in during this celebration time.
6th grade students played Spring BINGO with their advisories where students were able to win fun prizes! 7th graders were able to enjoy time outdoors playing volleyball, softball, and enjoying each other’s company. 8th graders also headed outside with the weather being so beautiful! Some students chose to play soccer and football while other students took a walk around the OLHMS grounds. Chalk art was another fun activity that 8th graders enjoyed. They created kindness chalk art with positive messages to spread kindness while the community walks around our campus.
OLHMS staff is proud of all the scholars at OLHMS for working so hard! Great work, Mustangs!
