OLHMS Buddies is back! Scholars in Ms. Orloff and Mrs. Hines’ classes have been collaborating with Mrs. Messina and Mrs. Ponce De Leon’s CASE students. The students in the CASE program have diverse needs and abilities. The 6th graders have been working with the CASE students on different projects and assignments such as a link chain of kindness for Unity Day, decorating pumpkins for Halloween, practicing reading and writing skills, and All-About-Me presentations! These collaborative projects allow 6th grade scholars to use their skills and expertise to teach other students. This also allows the CASE students to experience peer relations and practice their communication skills. We are so proud of our Mustangs for showing empathy and kindness to each other. OLHMS staff and students look forward to more opportunities to collaborate in the school year!
