OLHMS celebrated Unity Week this week by hosting fun spirit days! Unity Week is a nationwide movement sending a message that bullying should never be part of childhood! Staff and students pledged to be kind, encourage acceptance, and stop bullying!
Staff and students were welcomed into the building on Monday with bright orange ribbons tied around the exterior columns. Staff members also decorated their rooms with different orange, student-created projects. On Tuesday, everyone was extra cozy in their pajamas - especially with the dropping temperatures outside! Staff and students dressed in orange on Wednesday as they pledged to be bully free! Thursday was “Team Kind” day where staff and students represented their favorite sports team! Finally, a sea of Mustang red and black could be seen throughout the classrooms and hallways on Friday as everyone wore their OLHMS Mustang spirit wear!
