The CASE students and staff are back and ready to provide smiles and treats for the faculty at OLHMS! Prior to COVID, the CASE students had a donut and coffee cart available for staff to purchase every Friday. COVID didn’t stop our incredible team from coming up with an alternative – we now welcome the CASE Cafe with pre-packaged, sealed products for faculty to enjoy!
Each week, a Google Form is sent to the OLHMS faculty in which they can sign up to have snacks and drinks delivered during 1st period on Fridays. Some favorite staff items are coffee K-cups, Diet Coke, a variety of chips and candy, and muffins! This always makes for an extra special breakfast on a Friday morning!
The CASE Cafe not only allows OLHMS faculty to get a sweet treat and friendly smile from our CASE students, but it also provides important life skills these scholars will need in their future. Mrs. Messina, CASE teacher, stated, “This is a great way to help our CASE students with handling money, enhancing their communication, gaining job skills and so much more along the way!”
We are so proud of the CASE students and staff for their hard work and bringing happiness, acceptance, and inclusion to OLHMS!
