OLHMS Band students were invited to H.L. Richards High School on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 to perform their Mid-Winter concert in the new, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center! Over 90 OLHMS students were anxious for their second live performance of the school year.
Band Directors, Mrs. Beth Lyons and Mr. John Kehl, have been practicing with our scholars for weeks to prepare them for the big event. These musical Mustangs left school around 9:15 am with instruments in hand for a dress rehearsal at HLR. Students were able to tour the new Performing Arts Center and practice on the big stage! Showtime began at 7 pm with wonderful musical numbers from the Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Beginning Band.
Mrs. Lyons stated, "We're so proud of our OLHMS instrumentalists! All the bands gave strong performances and showed professionalism in their playing and encouragement toward one another. Our concert at the Richards High School Performing Arts Center was a wonderful experience we'll always remember!"
This was only their second performance of the year, and they were incredible! We can’t wait to hear more magnificent melodies soon! Congratulations to these scholars on a job well done!
