Recently 20 OLHMS Concert Band students had the opportunity to play with the Oak Lawn Community High School marching band during their home football game. Students played The Star-Spangled Banner and The OLCHS Fight Song on the field, right along with the high schoolers. They also played popular pep tunes in the stands during the game.
“This was a great event to prepare students for the high school marching band and to get some experience on the field. It was a cold night, but we all had a blast! Way to go, Mustangs,” said Beth Lyons, OLHMS Band Director.
High school directors, Mr. Paul Levy and Mr. Bob Habersat for coordinated the event with Ms. Lyons.
