All of District 123 celebrated Empathy Week April 22nd-April 25th. Empathy week is a good opportunity for teachers to open conversations with students about what empathy is and how we can show empathy not only in the classroom, but everywhere! Empathy week celebrations included a themed spirit week and a buddy class activity. Classes paired up with their buddy class and completed a “life is sweet” lemonade craft activity. Students enjoyed working with their buddy and it was a great way to get students connected and to get conversations going about empathy!
