Kolmar 3rd graders took a field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry recently and were able to test some of their hypotheses! This field trip really allows students to make connections to all four of their science units: balancing forces, inheritance and traits, environments and survival, and weather and climate. At the museum, students were able to make connections to things they have already learned and build up some background knowledge on topics they will be touching later on in the year. Our students had a great time and enjoyed all areas of the museum, some highlights were the space center, science storms, and the transportation gallery! Thank you to our 3rd grade teachers for planning such a meaningful experience for our students and to all the chaperones who donated their time!
