Kolmar second graders have been hard at work as plant scientists in their Amplify Science unit. To see everything they have learned come to life, they took a field trip to the Morton Arboretum. Students were able to hold and investigate seeds, pick up and examine many different leaves, and see many different species of trees! Students also had an awesome time playing in the Arboretum’s children’s garden. Students enjoyed having a picnic lunch outside and riding on the bus! We are so grateful to the amazing staff at the Arboretum for all of their patience and hard work! We also are so appreciative of all our parent chaperones! It was a wonderful way to spend the day!
