Kolmar 5th graders had an out of this world time at their field trip to the Adler Planetarium. This connected to the 5th graders' patterns of Earth and sky unit in Science. The students, teachers, and chaperones all agreed that it was an awesome experience! Students got to read and learn about different planets, create constellations, and even got space dog stickers! One thing that really stood out to students was seeing the different telescopes throughout time. One student mentioned that learning about the surface of Mars was his favorite part. Students learned about the evaluation of humans’ understanding of space. They got to do all sorts of different activities and really enjoyed themselves! Thanks to our 5th grade teachers for planning such an awesome field trip and to all our chaperone volunteers!
