On Friday, November 11th, Kolmar 2nd graders took a field trip to the Morton Arboretum. The field trip was connected to both their Literacy unit on changing trees/weather and their Science unit on animal and plant relationships. In the morning they had a tour guide showing them around and teaching them all sorts of amazing things! They ate lunch outside and then they got to play in the children’s garden. The highlight of the day for a lot of the students was running around in the maze! This was their first field trip and a lot of the students' first time on a bus. The teachers all agreed that it was a wonderful day and something they definitely would like to do again!
