It’s always a great day when you bring your favorite lady to school! The Hometown PTA hosted its annual Muffins with Misses event on Thursday May 9. It was a perfect way to kick off the Mother’s Day weekend. Hometown students invited the special ladies in their lives to enjoy a breakfast treat of muffins and juice. Moms, grandmas, aunts and friends enjoyed a time of socializing with their children and friends. One student commented, “I love getting to spend the morning with my mom and my brothers. We don’t normally all eat breakfast together at home so this was so fun! And the muffins were huge!!” The idea behind Muffins With Misses is that children have the opportunity to have breakfast with their mom or female role model in a school setting. It gives them the opportunity to introduce their friends to their guests and offers the chance for some quality time together before the start of the day!
