Students who participated in the winter read-a-thon enjoyed a special pizza lunch with Dr. Bencik

Over winter break, students were given the opportunity to read books and raise money for the Hometown PTA. For every book students read over the break, they were sponsored by family members, neighbors, and friends. They helped raise money that will help fund events like the family dance, goodies with grands, and so much more. Students who participated in this event also earned pizza with principal. Students got to enjoy a special lunch with Dr. Bencik! Students went around the table and shared their favorite games and favorite books. One Kindergartener said, "It was the best day spending it with Dr. Bencik! I love reading and this was so much fun!"
