Mr. Petrik has students try out the 3 Things Drawing Game
Local author and former Hannum parent, Mike Petrik visited our students this past Wednesday. Mr. Petrik spoke to students about his journey as an author and illustrator, which began as a school-aged child. He has authored and illustrated several book series such as: One Cool Duck, Silly Sounds, and Good Sports. All books can be found on Amazon, but for a more localized experience, Mr. Petrik's books can be found at Bookies at 10324 W. Western Ave where they can receive a 10% discount with the QR code sent home on student flyers. Mr. Petrik was very interactive with students during the presentation having them come up to participate in a 3 things drawing game. Students volunteered to create a unique creature combining 3 things together. There were many laughs and giggles by the silly illustrations. I'm sure Mr. Petrik inspired a future author or illustrator among our Hannum Bears. Thank you for the visit Mr. Petrik!!!
