Fall Fun: Literacy and Masked Readers

Masked Readers had students guessing at Hannum's Fall Literacy Night

What a Boo-tifull night at Hannum School! The Halloween themed literacy night included fun multi-age leveled stations for students to visit such as: Halloween Bingo, Witches Brew Sentences, Graveyard of Sight Words, and Spooky Stories.  Mrs. Hemminger had a rhythm and bone drumming activity for students to experience as well.  The highlight of the evening were three Hannum teachers who were disguised as Masked Readers.  Mr. Marshmallow read the haunted tale called,  "The Big Toe", the second masked robot reader recited the lyrics of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", and the final witchy reader read “Fright Night Flight.”  Spectators submitted tickets and voted for the staff members who they thought were the Masked Readers.  Tickets were drawn on Friday with six winners receiving Mega Bear Bucks for their lucky guesses.  It was a truly Spook-tacular Event!!!
