Kindergarteners go on a leprechaun scavenger hunt.
On Friday, Hannum students were abuzz anticipating the celebration of St. Patrick's Day. There were many different writing activties about wishes and what students felt "lucky" about in their lives. It was especially exciting for Kindergarteners who went on a Lucky Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt. They walked around reading and looking for a list of items in the hallways such as: something green, a gold coin, something Irish, something lucky, Leprechaun food, black shoes, a hat, a rainbow, a four leaf clover, and a pair of socks. After finding all of the items students returned to their rooms to find that Lucky the Leprechaun had visited their classrooms while they were on their scavenger hunts. Apparently, he tossed over some chairs and left some gold coins and necklaces. It was a mess to clean up but students enjoyed the mischief that Lucky caused. Hopefully, Lucky will not return to Hannum again until next year!!!
