Last Friday, Hannum Bears were able to visit the Bear Booth for the second time this year. Excitement and anticipation ran high for the students. Many students saved Bear Bucks from the first visit to purchase something the second time around. It was very impressive to see students of this age group delay gratification to save for for an item they really wanted. A very large Squishmallows was purchased for $75 Bear Bucks by a second grade student. Other students opted for non-tangible items. Lunch with the Principal...a.k.a Mrs. Doornbos was also a popular choice. Students who purchased this reward had lunch on Thursday, November 9th with her. Elenore Valentine, a 2nd grader, was one such student and exclaimed, "I am so excited!" Excitement and positivity are exactly what the teachers and school community are promoting. Everyone wins!!!
