The Hannum Media Center is finally open for Bear Business. The complete demolition of the former library and adjoining classroom started in May. This new space is well suited for our students with updated furniture such as: sleek tables and chairs on wheels, reading areas with comfortable furniture, movable shelving, and lovely new flooring and decor with Hannum logos on the walls. Students have been waiting with great anticipation for the Media Center to be complete. They have been able to see the progress through the glass windows of the main hallway since returning to school in August. The Media Center also has two break out rooms for meetings in the back as well as an office for our new Math and Reading Support Teachers. Another great feature is a giant mechanical screen that can be used for videos or possible karaoke with classes. Students were able to check out books the first day of class with Mrs. Lazinek.
