The ‘WIN’ or ‘What I Need’ block is built into the K-5 schedule to give students the opportunity to work in small groups with their teacher or Interventionist. Math and Reading Interventionists may even push-into classrooms to give additional support to students. Reading small groups may include reteaching of Fundations concepts or extra practice with fluency. Math small groups may include working with manipulatives or playing games to reinforce the standards that are being taught for a particular unit. WIN is a 30 minute block of time that happens for both Math and Reading every day for our Hannum students.
