Scientists are taking over Hannum and the Amplify science curriculum is coming to life. First graders are learning about animal and plant defenses. Mrs. Wartman's created scientific drawings to show what an animal needs to survive. Second graders are learning about plant and animal relationships. Mrs. Carmichael's second graders spent some time outside making field observations. Students were asked to create science drawings in their investigation notebooks. Third grade students are learning about inheritance and traits. Mrs. Zweig's students, Mrs. Fitzgibbon's studnets, and Mrs. Paluch's students are taking on the role of wildlife biologists and looking for similarities and differences among organisms. The Amplify curriculum allows students to take on the role of scientists to find solutions to real world problems. Hannum is definitely full of future scientists and engineers!
